Driving directions to Heathrow International Airport
from London City Centre
Depart London City Centre
Follow the city centre signs and head west towards the A3211 via Queen Victoria Street. The A3211 follows alongside the Thames river. Follow the signs and turn off for the A302 west heading for the A4.
Continue west on the A4 and join onto the M4 junction 1. Head along the M4 for around 8 miles until you take exit 4 for Heathrow. The airport terminal is around 2 miles from the M4.
Arrive at Heathrow airport
Trip duration: approximately 40 minutes (heavily dependent on traffic build up)
from Bristol (West)
Depart Bristol
Follow the city centre signs and head north towards the M4. Head east along the M4 towards London for around 95 miles until you turn off at exit 4.
Follow the signs for your desired departure terminal or chosen car park. The terminal buildings are approximately 2 miles off exit 4.
Arrive at the airport
Trip duration: approximately 1 hour, 40 minutes
from Northampton (North)
Depart Northampton
Follow the city centre signs for the south A508 towards M1 motorway. Take the M1 east for around 40 miles until you turn off at exit 6A, heading for the M25 west.
Travel along the M25 for around 19 miles until you turn off at exit 15 for the M4 east. Turn off at the M4 exit 4 and follow the signs to your desired departure terminal.
Arrive at Heathrow International
Trip duration: approximately 1 hour 10 minutes.
