Car Parking Options

Cardiff airport has a choice of two convenient off airport car parks and one on airport car park. The off airport Airparks and Highwayman car parks as well as the on site long stay. We provide price comparisons and information on all 3 of the car parking options. Off airport parking provides a good balance between convenience and price. Regular free transfers are provided from the car parks to the airport terminal. The on site long term is directly opposite the terminal and is within walking distance. There is also a small dropping off area.

Driving directions to Cardiff International Airport

from Cardiff City Centre

Depart Cardiff

Follow the city centre signs and head west along the A4161 towards Ely. Pick up the A48 (Cowbridge Road) and head towards Wenvoe where you will pick up the A4050.

Continue along the A4050 until you reach a turning for the A4226. Head along the A4226 until you reach the terminal building. Follow the signs for the long term car park.

Arrive at Cardiff airport

Trip duration: approximately 25 - 30 minutes.

from Milford Haven ( West )

Depart Milord Haven

Head north along the A4076 towards Haverfordwest. At Haverfordwest take the east A40 towards Carmarthen where you will pick up the A48. Continue along the A48 until you reach the M4 motorway.

Head along the M4 until you reach exit 33. Take the first left off the roundabout and head along the A4232 for approximately 3 miles. Take the exit sign posted for Cardiff airport.

Take the A4050 turning off the roundabout and head towards Wenvoe until you reach a turning for the A4226. The A4226 takes you to the airport.

from Bristol ( East )

Depart Bristol

Follow the city centre signs and head north towards the M4. Head west along the M4 towards South Wales for around 40 miles until you reach exit 33.

Take the A4232 turning off the roundabout, first left. Head along the A4232 for approximately 3 miles until you reach the turning off for Cardiff airport. Take the slip road up to the roundabout.

Take the A4050 turning off the roundabout and head towards Wenvoe until you reach a turning for the A4226, which will take you to the airport teminal.

Arrive at the airport

Trip duration: approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes.

Depart Merthry Tydfil

Head along the A470 towards Cardiff. Take the M4 west at junction 32 until you reach exit 33. Take the A4232 turning off the roundabout and travel for approximately 3 miles until you reach the turning off for Cardiff airport.

Take the A4050 turning off the roundabout and travel along until you reach a turning for the A4226, which will take you to the airport teminal.

Arrive at the airport

Trip duration: approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes.
